Does the seismic portion of the California P.E. exam on April 17 make you tremble in fear?
Do you need an organized battle plan to help you study for this exam?
The Las Vegas ASCE Younger Member Forum (ASCE YMF) and Sigma Engineering Solutions are offering a Seismic review course for the spring 2010 exam.
Joe Farre, P.E. will present the Seismic review course over eight Tuesdays from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. - February 16 and 23, March 2, 9, 16, and 23, and April 6 and 13.
There is a $150 registration fee for ASCE members with proof of membership. Those who are not members of ASCE will be assessed a $200 registration fee.
Since this course is a fundraiser for ASCE YMF, please make checks payable to ASCE YMF on the first day of class.
The course will be based on the review manual written by Stephen Hiner, MS, SE. Each student must purchase the manual with paypal or a credit card by accessing http://www.seismicreview.com/workbook.html.
The seismic design workbooks are $86 each (including sales tax and/or shipping) and have been updated for the California Building code (similar to IBC) requirements.
Should you desire additional material, other seismic review texts can be purchased from http://ppi2pass.com/ppi/ppishop_ct_seismic.
Registration is limited to 20 for each class. All courses will be taught at UNLV's Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering, TBE-A-107.
Please contact Paul Villaluz, P.E., PTOE (pvillaluz@sigmanv.com) for registration and course information.
