Tenth Grade students to visit UNLV JUly 9-13, 2007

Thirty 10th grade students from the Mathematics, Science, and Engineering Academy (MSEA) will visit the UNLV campus for one week.  MESA is a cooperative program with the FORT Valley University: http://www.fvsu.edu, located in Fort Valley, Georgia.

The students will be divided into two groups of 15 and will explore the fields of math, science, and engineering while oan campus.  They attend classes, perform experiments in varous labs, participate in a math quiz bowl, and prepare a final closing ceremony skit.  In addition they are able to tour some of the loval sites like Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon.
